The Blue Yeti is a side-address microphone. It must be spoken into from the side! Not the top or “end” like most traditional microphones.
If you’ve watched enough podcasts or YouTube videos, it’s highly likely you’ve seen the Yeti being used in an incorrect manner. Blue notes this on their website and in the instruction manual, but who reads those anyway? Not even celebrities or TV producers!
